The adventurous spirit has been blossoming in our family. Ever since our last ziplining trip, Bill has been wanting to take Mason to another course. It was a rare find to see a Saturday with nothing on the schedule until the evening so we made reservations to go to ziplining in Nashville. Walker and I had gone there back in 2010 and it was great fun to return as a family. We have no pictures from the adventure as we all left our phones in the car. It’s never fun to lose those when flying at high speed several hundred feet above ground.
Because our tour was at 10 am, we finished early enough to venture into Nashville to the restaurant I had wanted to surprise Mason with back in November when our plan was foiled. The Pfunky Griddle did not disappoint. In fact, it might have been even better since we were able to experience it for the first time together the four of us.
This is an eclectically decorated restaurant in a converted home. It’s open just for breakfast and lunch and draws quite a crowd. The uniqueness of the place might be that each table has its own griddle right in the center. You can order fixings to make your own pancakes, French toast and eggs just the way you like them. You can further customize your breakfast with toppings to include in the batter. If that’s not your thing, you can also order off the menu and get a prepared meal. They offer regular and whole grain pancake batter and gluten free options as well.
I ordered a Gorgonzola and Black Forest Ham Panini and a cup of Tomato Basil soup. The sandwich was extremely tasty. It had walnuts and sliced Granny Smith apples on it too. Bill enjoyed a salad for lunch. This will definitely be one of the restaurants that stays on our list for upcoming visits.
We had such an early start to make it to Nashville by 10 that by the time we showed up at the Icemen Game, it felt like our zipline adventure was yesterday. Tonight was our annual fundraiser at the hockey rink and the school choir sang the National Anthem.
If you look hard enough, you can spy us. It was a rousing game and I’m glad we were able to go once again this year.
You have founds some of the best restaurants. I love the idea of zip-lining and challenge courses, but have only done one. They are might expensive in these parts for a family of 6 ($500 for a day adventure feels high!)

sorry for the repeat…it was almost $100 per person when we were in MN this summer
That’s the restaurant you told us about! Super fun!
