There are certain activities we like to participate in every year at fair if we can. We headed out early enough to watch the rocket launch and then the boys competed with other clubs in Quiz Bowl. We had fun, but we did not win.
We worked our annual shift in the 4-H council booth. My pictures don’t show just how many of us were in the booth but really, we could have gotten by with a quarter of the volunteers. However, many hands make light work and it was definitely fun to chat with all the other parents while we flipped burgers and fried baloney sandwiches.
Thursday in the annual softball challenge, our first game was a by. We won the second and then the third. The club was so excited to get the traveling trophy.
Finally, it was Friday’s Parade of Champions and anyone who earned a champion ribbon was eligible to walk in the parade. Congratulations, Mason!
What memories to have.
