If I am honest, today was a tough day. The kids were snarky and everything feels exaggerated. It’s so easy to blow things out of proportion especially because we are confined to the house and our resources are limited.
That being said, I do have a gratitude list.
The mulch we ordered several weeks ago from our neighbor was scheduled to be delivered today but we were told that it would not be delivered after all. The football players run the fundraiser and delivery involves teams of people. It was a delight to get a call that our neighbor’s dad was going to make some of the deliveries on his own. Since the weather has been beautiful and Bill’s been home feeling industrious, this was wonderful.
I’m trying to take it easy on myself. Today when I went out for exercise, my watch battery was dead so I just ran/walk six or so laps. That was good enough.
I am grateful Bill and I are a team and our boys are older. They can manage their own time pretty well and we are able to come together as a family.
I finally got to knit via zoom with a local friend I had been missing.
The special gifts I ordered for our soon to be ordained deacon arrived and I was able to deliver them to the church for him tomorrow.
I was able to pull together an easy dinner.
Tomorrow is a new day…
