Today would have been my grandparents’ eightieth wedding anniversary. Even though they have both passed away, their anniversary remains so meaningful. My grandparents had a long marriage which is not always the case any more. This photo was taken at their Las Vegas retirement home in 2015 before they both really slowed down. I’m grateful to see their connection and joy.
The snow and ice are not gone but the temperatures today climbed to the fifties. The roads were clear enough to send the kids back to school in person. My boys were definitely ready to be back in their rhythm and so was I. I industriously tackled a long list of housekeeping chores and delighted in the clean results.
After school Mason and I stopped at Home Depot to buy materials to build this rail for skateboarding.
On the puzzle front, yesterday Bill and I made some more progress. We are getting to the part where it’s just plain hard. The tree and snow are much the same so we are going to have to take a more strategic approach to finishing it. We will continue piece by piece.
