Our Sunday started with Mass in the living room. While I would not knit at Mass in church, I have been since we started playing the home game. My body assumes a knitting posture when I sit in a chair in front of the TV. I am justifying my actions by working only on charity hats during that time.
It feels like I’m not getting much done because my focus is all over the place so I decided to make a Ta Da list rather than a To Do list. It made a difference.
My Ta Da List
1. I baked cranberry quick bread.
2. I baked two batches of granola.
3. I fixed a pair of Mason’s pants.
4. I repotted my orchid.
5. I used my new Steamfast to press my vintage hankies. I decided to be more green and use these inherited ones from my friend’s mother.
6. I roasted poblano peppers for a meal later this week.
7. I washed, folded and put away a load of laundry.
8. I made a delicious Italian eggplant vegetable medley and served it over pasta for dinner.
9. I worked on a surprise for next month.
Meanwhile Walker had his test for the Covid-19 study. While it was a drive up appointment in the parking lot at Wal-mart nearby, he did get out of the car. They drew his blood and gave him a very thorough nasal swab on both sides. He said he still felt the tingle 10-15 minutes later. Yikes!
Tonight after dinner, we played Exploding Kittens and listened to Alexa pump out the tunes. A highlight for me was singing John Denver songs at the top of my lungs. John is a great throwback to my youth as my mom listened to him a lot. Happy times!
