Tonight Mason had his Eagle Board of Review. We got there early so that he would be one of the first to be reviewed. His review board took longer than the one I sat on and I got a little nervous because he met with one of the more exacting scout leaders.
His session ran longer, though, because they asked a lot of questions. At the end, he walked out smiling and I exhaled. The leaders complimented Mason on one of the most thorough and well done books they had seen in some time! All that work paid off.
Mason left with a smile. He not only ranked up to Eagle Scout, but he did it faster than Walker. A little competition between brothers might have been good.
We had a celebratory dinner at Red Lobster and then I headed south to Nashville to fly out to Los Angeles. More about that later…
