Today was a great day! It was filled with lots of joy and love.
My birthday celebration actually started last night. When I came home, I opened the door to the house and was greeted by a three foot troll bearing flowers.
I soon learned that trolls were a theme.
This morning I went for an early run with my BRF, Krista, and I found two little bonbons in the bathroom.
When I walked into Starbucks to meet my friends for knitting, all of the baristas sang Happy Birthday to me and treated me to a special pairing of chocolate and coffee.
I met Liz for adoration and she surprised me with a fruit and vegetable gift basket.
Mason and Bill planned family movie night and gave me the choice for dinner and show. I tricked them into thinking we were going to watch the royal wedding but the real movie was Chef.
Opening up presents I found more trolls in the form of a bank and a beach towel.
The final hurrah was the troll piñata which we whacked in the living room. Birthday cards and little troll notepads fell out.
Walker was away at camp but he managed to find a spot of cell service and a signal to call. The amount of love I received during the day in gestures, phone calls, cards, and texts was truly overwhelming. I went to bed with a big smile and a full heart.
