Today on my morning walk/run I spotted these beautiful flowers. Spring is in the air and nature is responding. After cleaning up and having breakfast, I ran to Schnucks and Starbucks and then directly to the food pantry to unload some contributions.
When I got home, I found Mason had been recording. He’s in his last quarter of band at SJB. While he plays well, he is not passionate about the trumpet. For two years he has had to practice an hour each week and I’ve signed off only when I had heard him play. Covid fatigue has weakened my resolve but where I dropped off, the band teacher picked up. He has had to record himself and upload to Google classroom. Today his studio was our bathroom.
After a simple and tasty dinner, Bill and I had a chance to out and walk together. I always think of these as walk and talk dates. We had a great chat about family topics.
And then, it was time for close the books on another day.
