Welcome to the Second Annual Rain Gutter Regatta! The weather was beautiful for an evening of outdoor boating. Every scout had his own technique for using the straw to blow the boat the distance of the long tables.
Whatever Mason did this time worked like a charm. Woo hoo!
I like the laid back approach of personalizing these boats. Unlike the pinewood derby, there is no need for excessive attention to detail or to trick the boats out. This is just for fun, fun, and more fun. A little paint on the boat, markers and coloring on the sails and maybe some added decals are about as fancy as they get.
Posting the colors is supposed to be solemn and serious, but I somehow caught Mason showing (me and hopefully no one else) another side. I’ll take the I Love You he is giving me and go with that.
He definitely marches to his own drummer.
An I Love You sign is always serious….even if your tongue is out.
