Calling All Voters

My family has been very interested in the election proceedings this year and it is important to us to include the boys in the voting process as much as possible.  Bill and I both wanted to avoid the polls and the long lines on Tuesday and furthermore, he anticipates that with his work schedule it might be difficult to get there.  Since he was off today, we went as a family to the county seat to fulfill our civic duty.  We got there by 3 pm and the line didn’t seem too bad.  I thought we would get through the snaking queue in a short period of time. Bill countered that we’d be there for a while and he was right. Thankfully, the registrar assured us that if we were in the door, we would vote even if we had not reached the booths by 4 pm when the polls closed for the day.

Since I was not in the family photo, I wanted evidence that I was there too.  I have tangible proof as well.  While we waited I cast on and knit the start of a sock.  You can see it if you look at the first easel picture.

  • I took a picture of Ken at the caucus, so I totally get it. This year Ken and I voted via absentee ballot. (He truely was out of town and I just wanted to get er done, so I could stop paying attention to ads.). Plus I could easily google all the judges so I could make informed decisions about all of my votes.
