Bill wanted to treat the staff at his office to lunch this month and decided Chinese New Year was the perfect day to celebrate. Besides, he is always seeking opportunities to expand the palates of these Midwestern folks who think we are so exotic because we partake in international cuisine.
2020 is the The Year of the Rat and I happened to have two rats I knit for the boys several years ago. What are the odds, right? The staff thinks I knit them especially for this occasion and we’ll just let them believe that.
We ordered some of the dishes we like from our favorite Chinese restaurant, Szechwan Chinese and I spruced up the buffet line with signs I made that identified each dish.
