Bill’s nurse, Natasha, had her first child on November 22, 2017 and Mason has been asking to meet Charlotte ever since. Today we met us at Starbucks.
Mason has always loved little babies and he took an especial liking to her.
We brought Charlotte a few of our favorite books to add to her library collection.
She was a good listener while Mason read to her and such a happy baby!
Meanwhile, Bill was taking advantage of his day off to travel to Kansas City to catch up with our long time friend, Danny. He now resided in Nebraska but was in Missouri on business. Anyone who knows Danny and Bill will not be surprised to hear that Bill drove six hours each way to catch up with Danny over BBQ.
Before dinner, Bill had time to visit the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
This shuttlecock was crafted by Claes Oldenburg whose work we admired in St. Louis last summer.
I could not identify this piece but I love the doll and her apron.
Hollywood by Thomas Hart Benton
Celebration by Fletcher Martin
Hotel France by Stuart Davis
The Sun Treader by Thomas Hart Benton
Lynch Family by Joseph Hirsch
Bill got home late tonight full of stories but without even a selfie of him and Danny. Boohoo! After all these years, I would have loved to seem them together. Alas, this just means they will have to do it again and maybe I can join them next time.
