Sound Bites & Snap Shots

When the love of your life loves fruit, a fruit cake makes for a perfect his birthday treat.  I totally spaced on the candles so we improvised.  Can you guess how old he is even though he doesn’t look a day over 21?

I love how Bill looks at the kids. 

Books, bikes and birds might be the theme for this year’s gifts.

Did I mention he puts up with a lot of love?

The cake was a watermelon, with the rind cut off, surrounded by grapes and blueberries.  The fruit on top was skewered with toothpicks.  One might say that candles and paper decorations don’t mix well but that’s what fire extinguishers are for, right?  It was all in the name of having a blast on Bill’s birthday.
