I was honored to be invited to attend the Mother’s Day Banquet hosted by the Boy Scouts. Walker helped prepare and served me my meal.
It’s still so novel to see him in the brown uniform. After dinner, each scout said a message to his mother publicly. I was touched by Walker’s message to me:
“Thank you, Mom, for helping me when times are hard and even when I’m struggling, you are patient with me.”
After dinner Walker was awarded card for his new rank as Scout.
I was beyond proud to be in the company of so many mothers whom I know and love and to share this evening with Walker.
What a lovely way to celebrate Mothers’ Day.
