Last night the boys left their shoes by the fireplaces as is their tradition and went to bed hoping St. Nick would bring them a treat. Mason awoke to find a Frozen Toy Pack for his Disney Infinity and Walker received the brand new Michael Vey book, the third in a series he loves.
The other packages waiting by the fireplace were purchases from the Santa Shop at school. The PTSA hosts an annual shopping boutique stocked with affordable items that the students can buy for family, friends and, in many cases, themselves. Then volunteers like myself wrap the packages to sent them home. My boys are always so eager to give their gifts that we conceded that they could swap theirs today.
St. Nick also brought a winter storm and school closure. As soon as there was enough on the ground, the boys were outdoors with sleds and shovels.
Oh, joy! I made a brief appearance to debut my newest hat knit and then resumed my hot chocolate responsibilities.
We discovered Walker likes to shovel and write in the snow.
Meanwhile, the snow fell all day and after a few hours, some were up to their knees in drifts.
Poor Santa was blinded and frozen over by nightfall.
It was such a pretty sight at nightfall to have glowing lights illuminating our snowy walkway.
I love the freedom of a snow day!
LOVE all of the snow pictures! Looks like the boys had fun!

Love Walker’s initial in the street.
