Last night I heard the boys mention picking up their shoes. It gave me pause and then I realized. They were not picking up their shoes for the sake of a clean house. They were picking up their shoes to place them in front of the fireplace.
This year St. Nicholas left them each a Tile and a Barnes and Noble gift card. Mason has had some increased interest in graphic novels and Walker in travel books. The tiles have proven worth their weight in gold. Lost items are every so frustrating especially when they have gone missing right as one is walking out the door.
Today is also a special friend’s birthday. I’ve made her cheesecake in the past but this year, I decided another batch of low carb granola. I love gifting food that fits their dietary wishes and needs.
