Running along the Ohio River is one of my favorite ways to start the day. We are just 1.2 miles from the river path and I enjoy taking in the sights while I run. Today the water was remarkably high but even more noteworthy was the location of this barge and tug. I don’t recall ever seeing a barge backed down this close to the shore right here. I stopped for a few minutes to take these pictures on the first leg of my run.
I was glad I had because when I came back, they had already started making their way toward the Lock and Dam.
