My last haircut was February 25th, 2020.
One hundred thirteen days later, I finally got another one. Since I usually have a haircut every three weeks, I was 92 days late. My hair would not be considered long by many, but for a short hair gal, I was beginning to feel like Rapunzel.
One of the hardest aspects of the shelter in place for me was with regard to self-care. I had a haircut appointment scheduled for March 18th. That was the first week of the restrictions. Week after week passed and I was getting antsy. I waited and waited for updates about when my hairdresser would resume services. When Amanda texted yesterday that she was beginning to see clients, I was thrilled. When she asked me if I was free today at noon, I immediately snatched the appointment.
Twenty minutes after walking in, I was shampooed, cut and blown dry.
I feel like a new woman!
