Today was a very relaxing and love filled day. I received a surprise delivery of tulips yesterday and they have really started opening up. Fresh and vibrant flowers are always uplifting.
The boys and Bill treated me to a “ME” day. I did things that I wanted to do and that felt lovely. I puttered around the house, tidied up a few projects in my sewing area, and started cutting for the T-shirt quilt.
Bill took charge of dinner and prepared a skillet meal with the taco/burrito ingredients already prepped from last night’s dinner and then added potatoes, more veggies, eggs and cheese.
He lovingly prepared this meal and then served it to me on a tray for Family Movie Night. In the spirit of time together is the best gift, we watched one of the Fast & Furious movies. Several years ago we had a movie marathon with these and we all really enjoyed the pace of the street racing, spies and heists.
Because Bill is so thoughtful, he also prepared a meal for Mason—a meat burrito.
I am grateful for all of the mothers in my life and especially my grandmothers. Happy Mother’s Day!
