As soon as we made the Clusterfest arrangements, I reached out to Michelle to see if she could meet me in San Francisco on Saturday while Mason and Bill were otherwise engaged. We made plans just for brunch and then at the last minute, the plans expanded. She had an extra ticket for Hamilton and invited me along for that and dinner too. How exciting is that?
Michelle met me at my hotel and we fell right into sync catching up as college roommates like ourselves would. It was heavenly. We had brunch at Honey Honey Café and Crepery. I ordered the Torino—feta cheese, fresh basil, tomato and mushroom. Yummy!
After a short walk to the theater, we met her kids and the others in our group.
The view of the stage from the orchestra seats was awesome and I enjoyed the show even more this time. After the show, some of our group were invited backstage and then we went off to an early dinner at Fondue Cowboy.
I had not had fondue in a while but I enjoyed dipping the pickles, olives, broccoli and grapes in the rich melted cheeses. We tried Stage Coach which was a mix of Jarlsberg cheese, white wine, sautéed mushrooms, and roasted garlic and Outlaw, a mix of aged cheddar, beer, slow roasted tomatoes, roasted garlic, roasted jalapeno and cilantro.
I had such a lovely time with Michelle, Vinny, Karina, Zach and their friends. I hope our paths cross again soon.
