Joey’s quilt is now basted, partially quilted and will soon need to be bound. I looked through all of my stash for a coordinating binding I had nothing that would do. That necessitated a trip to Joann. For some reason, I find that when I’m looking for something specific, there is nothing at the store and that usually bothers me. Today, however, limited options saved me from analysis paralysis. I walked over to the blues, immediately gravitated toward one and grabbed it.
Afraid I had made a brash decision, I confirmed my choice with a photo to Rachel who agreed it fit the bill perfectly. I didn’t linger at the store as I felt a little unsafe. There were a lot of people in there wearing masks incorrectly or not at all. I went home and quietly retired to my sewing space. I made good progress on the quilt and may complete it by my self-imposed deadline of tomorrow.
Later this afternoon, I came downstairs and heard Bill and Mason in the garage. They had pulled Mason’s car in and Bill was imparting automotive tidbits as they checked the fluids, wipers, filters and the like. I smiled as yet another driver got schooled about his car.
Our latest Misfits box arrived. I used our fresh ingredients to prepare a lovely dinner—a stew with zucchini, tomato and celery. Bill and I watched a travel show on Netflix called Restaurants on the Edge. Tonight’s episode featured one called Banyan Tree in Tai O, Hong Kong. Since we can’t really travel, this scratched an itch.
