Simple Sunday

Bill went grocery shopping and reported that the shelves at the grocery stores are bare. What’s left on the pasta aisle is gluten free and whole wheat.  Toilet paper and hand sanitizer are hot commodities.

People are snatching up whatever they can buy and stocking up.  Toilet paper and hand sanitizer are hot commodities. Yet, we have what we need.

We started our day with mass on the couch streamed from St. John.  It is not the same at attending in person, but it does help to make Sunday feel like Sunday. It is good to maintain the connection with our parish.  In fact, someone from church reached out to extend a hand in case we needed it.  Later, Bill and I went on a walk and I knit.  I finished one sock and reached the bind off on my sweater.  Mason filled the air space with fun facts, his latest expression.

I spoke to my parents via FaceTime and chatted with my sisters. Our family time was pleasant.  We made a collaborative international dinner.  Bill and the boys made fried rice from scratch and I made saag paneer and mushroom tikka. We had family movie night and watched Mandible Star Wars on Disney Plus.

Today felt like it was the day of rest God intended it to be.
