Today was an incredibly full day! I volunteered again at the hospital this morning. Seeing how happy people are to get their vaccines continues to warm my heart. It was nice to see a friend across the room who was also volunteering. Today I chatted with a gentleman who was 99 years old. He ambulated well and was quite cogent. I hope that if I live that long, that my quality of life is that good.
After my shift, I met Liz for a pedicure. After listening to Gretchen Rubin’s recent podcast, she suggested choosing a signature color to represent a person’s word of the year. My word is Celebrate and I wanted something cheerful that represented joy and delight. Many colors fall could meet that criteria, but when I think of celebrations glitter and sparkle come to mind. With that in mind, it was easy to select a nail lacquer.
I wrapped up the afternoon with an hour walk and a podcast, came home to make dinner and we settled in for the night.
