I made a sweater! I started it May 1st and worked on it steadily in the beginning. Then, I hit the wall on a technique I didn’t know how to confidently accomplish and I shoved it in a bag. It sat and sat and sat. My knitting accomplices finished their sweaters long before I did. I smirked. Finally, I decided to give it a try again and surprised myself. The end came much faster than I expected.
I knit the sweater pretty much as directed except that I modified the lace pattern just a smidge.
I am really pleased with how it turned out and hope I will get a lot of use of it in the future.
Pattern: Strawbarb Sweater by Cheryl Beckerich Knits

This sweater is also my first entry in a year long endeavor to complete a bunch of my WIPs. A WIP is defined as any Work In Progess that has been started before 2020. It can be something that I have begun brainstorming or that has been physically begun. I’m doing this challenge with Rachel and Kim. Each month we have committed to a finish. Each WIP gets us an entry. If we can’t come through, we are required to throw in $5 to the pot. We will raffle off the funds at the end of the year.
Did you win the raffle?
