If you have never had a chance to read Because of Winn-Dixie, I strongly encourage you to do so. Mason’s class studied the book together and the teachers planned a friendship party as the culminating lesson. All of the details of the party here represent their interpretation of events and symbolism from the book.

Of course, a party isn’t a party without friends so the parents were invited to celebrate too.
