The Friendship Party

If you have never had a chance to read Because of Winn-Dixie, I strongly encourage you to do so.  Mason’s class studied the book together and the teachers planned a friendship party as the culminating lesson.  All of the details of the party here represent their interpretation of events and symbolism from the book.

Since Otis, the music maker in the book, was otherwise engaged, our music teacher played for us.

Of course, a party isn’t a party without friends so the parents were invited to celebrate too.
