Today is the last day of school and no one is more excited about it than I am! Our school day started with the awards ceremony. Walker received a BUG (Bringing Up Grades) award. I believe he actually earned it for keeping his grades up. He had a stellar report card.
Then it was time for the walking program awards. The top walker in each class was awarded a medal engraved with his name and mileage.
Mason was one of the top walkers in the third grade.
Walker walked away with the honor in his grade.
Then we moved on to the top walker in the school. Mason had his heart set on winning the trophy and he worked hard all year long. When the principal announced his name, he came running down.
He was so proud of himself.
Walker was also recognized for participation in the Math Olympiad.
One glimpse of the fun at the school carnival showed how excited all the kids were to get out!
Thank you, Mrs. Hershberger, for a great third grade year
and to Mrs. Anderson for making science so much fun.
Summer vacation starts now!
What a great ceremony. I especially love all that walking and adore Math Olympiad. What a different way to think about numbers.
Each of you must be so deservedly proud.
