Until Next Time…

After the boys and I left the City Museum, we swung by and picked up Mom and Dad.   I needed a serious cup of coffee so we headed out of downtown and found a Starbucks.  Dad wanted a picture like my mom has to show how tall the boys are getting.  Unbelievable!

We decided to spend the last few hours together at the St. Louis Science Center. Mom trained the robot with her body motions and the kids tried their hands at several different electronic exhibits.

We were able to get early tickets for the Lego Mindstorm experience which Mason had done last time we were there.

All too quickly, the morning passed and we had to take Grandma and Papa to the airport for their flight. We were sad to see them go.  I would not be exaggerating to say there were big tears shed in the car.

On our way out of town, we decided to squeeze in one more gastronomical suggestions found via Diners, Drive-ins and DivesAnthonino’s Taverna is owned by two brothers of Italian and Greek descent and the menu reflects their heritage.  I was surprised that we had to wait a while for a seat on a Monday at lunch but the food was worth it.   We started with the signature appetizer of toasted ravioli.  I had one.  The boys  devoured the other five.

Walker had pasta, Mason had pizza and I ordered one of their specialty pizzas.  The food was truly very good and I hope that we can bring Bill back at some point in the future.

The rest of the drive home was uneventful, probably because we were so tired from all the adventures.  It’s going to take us days to recover from all the fun but we would not trade a minute of it for anything.
