Today is our 24th wedding anniversary! As my loving husband was quick to point out, we have been married fifty percent of our lives. Time flies and it seems to go faster now that we are getting older.  We have covered a lot of ground and shared a lot of experiences in the last 8,766 days.

Today we have two teenage boys who are old enough to stay home alone, prepare their own dinners and complete homework without supervision.  Wow! We used the money we saved on babysitting to splurge on dinner out.  We drove to Owensboro and dined at Lure Seafood in the Hampton Inn.  We sat outside and watched the sun set.

I ordered Chipotle Swordfish :: Grilled Swordfish with Chipotle Chimichurri Sauce, Chili-Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Avocado and Grilled Pineapple.

Bill ordered Drunken Sea Bass :: Pan-Seared Chilean Sea Bass with Sake, Soy and Ginger Glaze, Crispy Fried Mung Bean Noodles, Rice and Pea Medley.

After dinner we walked along the waterfront and then grabbed a cup of coffee for the drive home.

I’m so grateful to be married to Bill.  There is a lot of life we hope to explore together one day at a time.

Happy Anniversary! I love the great presentation of the food. I had Sea Bass in Miami once that looked equally beautiful. One of my favorite meals. I too have been married over 1/2 my life (25 years last January)
