Happy birthday to my mom! I am so glad that I was able to speak with her today and that she had some help celebrating.
I started working on the next in the series of the Contini College Bound Quilts. This one is for Joey who is headed to Xavier University in Cincinnati. The initial step of any T-shirt quilt is to lay them out and find a visually pleasing balance of color and values. One of the tricks I use to take a photo on my phone and then change it to black and white. I’m off to a good start with the layout.
Today’s gratitudes include Bill at the top of my list. He is a great partner in parenting and he continually teaches me how to speak to the boys in a healthy way. He washed the dishes, did the grocery shopping and filled the bird feeders. Right now the large number of birds visiting the feeders provides extra joy.
The end of the day ended so pleasantly with family movie night and popcorn.
