We put a spin on our regular knitting gathering to celebrate Christmas together. Our friend Melissa was with us in absentia and sent a lovely tote bag for each of us.
I gave everyone a jar of my world famous (ha ha) granola. Apparently, it’s a gift that they all look forward to. We have been knitting together for many years and I’m so thankful for them.
Then in the spirit of Advent knitting, here are the latest progress pictures of my cowl and socks.
One special detail about my socks is the needle keeper/stitch marker combo I have. The little rubber loop goes over my needle tips to keep them together when I’m not knitting. The snowmen were beaded earrings my mom made for me that I converted into stitch markers. They add just the right holiday flair.
It is fun to have a small creative assignment each day and to watch these two projects come along.
