The kids were excited about having their Christmas parties at school today. One of the parents in Mason’s class prepared this healthy snack which reminded me a lot of Jordan’s Thanksgiving turkey.
I volunteered to run the game. I found a great idea on Pinterest. Each student put a paper plate on top of his head. I gave step by step directions to draw a decorated Christmas tree in front of a mantle with stockings hung. The key was that they could not look at the plates as they followed directions. They had a lot of fun just with the drawing.
Middle school parties are a whole different scene. When I walked into Walker’s class, I found his teacher with an iPad on her head playing Heads Up Challenge. I would not be lying if I said I might have been the most eager to get in the car and head outta school for Christmas break.
We kicked off our vacation with a matinee showing of Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. Bring on the relaxation and the absence of homework. We are all ready for Christmas joy!
