Christmas parties!

The kids were excited about having their Christmas parties at school today.  One of the parents in Mason’s class prepared this healthy snack which reminded me a lot of Jordan’s Thanksgiving turkey

I volunteered to run the game.  I found a great idea on Pinterest.  Each student put a paper plate on top of his head.  I gave step by step directions to draw a decorated Christmas tree in front of a mantle with stockings hung.  The key was that they could not look at the plates as they followed directions.  They had a lot of fun just with the drawing.

Middle school parties are a whole different scene.  When I walked into Walker’s class, I found his teacher with an iPad on her head playing Heads Up Challenge.  I would not be lying if I said I might have been the most eager to get in the car and head outta school for Christmas break.

We kicked off our vacation with a matinee showing of Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.  Bring on the relaxation and the absence of homework.  We are all ready for Christmas joy!
