We had another exciting delivery today from Misfits.  In times like these, these boxes offer such promise.

They check all my boxes (no pun intended) with their element of surprise, their healthy contents and the trip they save me the trip to the grocery stores for fresh produce.

The struggle of trying to find a normal routine is real but today I felt like I found some balance.  My early morning Bow Flex workout was followed by breakfast and a power hour session to mop and vacuum the floors before 8:30 am. While the kids were “at school,” I did my own work as well as chatted with Liz and my knitter friends, Britni and Peggy.

Speaking of knitting, I finished my sleeves today! I started to cast on the button band but my repeated mistakes indicated that it was time to put it down for the day.

This afternoon the sun shone brilliantly and we had guests at our feeders.  Bill has done a wonderful job keeping the outdoor cafeteria stocked and as a result, the number of visitors is growing.  We all notice when they pop in for a snack.

In other exciting news, we saw this announcement from our favorite Japanese restaurant. We are regulars there and we all miss the staff and their cuisine. I personally was worried that the shutdown might put a great strain on them since it’s a mom and pop place. Hopefully, we can do carry out very soon.  In the meantime, there is the challenge of what to make with our latest Misfits order to keep us busy and fed and that’s a fine place to be too.
