Tonight we celebrated Christmas with Kim. Customarily, we have Chinese food for dinner, a tradition we adopted when we lived in New York. This year we branched out and I made lasagna, salad and bread.
Kim was our special guest. Striker made an appearance but he did not dine with us. After dinner we gathered around the tree and opened a few gifts.
Aunt Rachel sent some of her specially made personalized cross stitch ornaments and she fed the Amazon kitties.
Kim opened her gifts from us as well which included some yarn goodness.
The boys were happy to see that Kim fed their Starbucks kitties.
After gifts, Kim headed off to get rest before her Christmas shift and we all settled down for a brief nap before Midnight Mass. Of course, the boys also laid out cookies and milk for Santa. For the record, there was quite a lot of deliberation about which exchange cookies to leave for the Jolly Old Man.
Here is proof that our night was full of giggles as well as warm thoughts around the tree.
Suz, never seen you look so good!
Missed you at Christmas.
What a lovey tree and quilt (and family). Merry Christmas.
I am glad your mom pointed out the Xmas quilt- it is lovely!
The silly pic at the bottom is my favorite!!
