Today’s destination was the Garden of the Gods. Bill and Walker camped here almost a year ago with the Boy Scouts but Mason and I had yet to experience it. The nice thing about hiking here is that there are a lot of rocks to climb (Mason’s favorite) and a lot of shady trails (Bill’s favorite).
It was a gorgeous day! Although it was indeed hot, it was sunny and clear. The views were breathtaking and the air was fresh. We packed a lunch and planted ourselves under a tree. When the spirit moved us, we hiked around another bend or stopped and found faces and shapes in the rocks. It was a peaceful place to dial into nature and be in the presence of one another.
WOw beautiful! I want to go there right now..but it is a little far for me (8 hours and 8 minutes)
