This morning I cast on another hat. I call them crack hats because I am addicted to making them. They go sooooo fast because I hold three fingering (skinny) yarns together. Lately I have been making them with balls of scraps that were gifted to me by a friend. I plan to send her all bunch of hats for her charity cause once they are done.
It’s Monday and I feel it. I can’t seem to find my rhythm today. Before Covid, I had a whole schedule for Mondays. I would get the kids off to school and see Bill off to work and then I would clean. I’d wash the floors and do all the laundry. It was my fresh start for the week and how I grounded myself.
With everyone home and the e-learning going on, it feels more chaotic. I did get to the grocery store and when I got home, I welcomed help from Bill and Mason who put everything away. I also got clean sheets put on the bed.
Bill tackled a few more items on the honey do list. He fixed the cord on the portable fan, corralled and organized all the electronics charging cables and cords, and moved all the sleeping bags from the linen closet to the attic. The cable and cords project was overwhelming and I am so grateful that he did that (so I didn’t have to).
Tonight for dinner I made vegetable soup and homemade bread. We followed it up with a rousing game of Scrabble and I got to model how to be a gracious loser. Ha!
