Seventeen!

It’s hard to believe that seventeen years ago Walker was a wee one.  He is now six feet tall.  Today he dressed up for a presentation at school and was out the door without any help from me. I take that back.  I had to help button his collar and his cuffs but that’s a […]

Old Friends, Old Cars

This weekend is the annual Frog Follies.  Bill and I went again and this year, we bought our good friend, Danny.  We’ve been friends for years but our lives have gone in many different directions.  He was in the Air Force for a long time and lived all over the world.  He retired from the […]

Too Soon

Since the boys both just returned home from their respective camps a few days ago, the first day of school arrived far too soon this year! Master Mason is entering the 8th grade and Master Walker is now a Junior. They’ve grown a lot this summer and we look forward to seeing what 2019-2020 brings.  […]

My, Have Times Changed!

There is a perk to having a niece who is a traveling nurse.  Occasionally, she travels close enough to drop in for the day.  Such is the case until October while Kim is working in St. Louis. She drove out to spend the day with us. It’s hard to believe this was the first time […]

Una Fiesta de Cumpleaños

Today we went to celebrate the birthday of these little boys who turned three and six respectively.  True to the culture of a good Mexican fiesta, there was great food, music and a whole lot of family.  We could only stay for a short time but it was great to be included.

Last Summer Pick Up

Today was the last day of the last session of the 2019 summer sessions at Camp Ondessonk. It’s always a very happy and very sad day on the camp grounds.  This week good times were had by all.  Mason attended Lodge Week, slept in the great unit of Raganeau and made more great friends. Walker […]

4-H Fair :: Round Two

We do love fair season anytime but it’s even more fun when we know folks who have projects exhibited.  Today Mason, Michael and I went to the Vanderburgh County Fair to see friends’ goats and alpaca.  We knew Mia was showing animals but Cate’s alpaca, Gabe, (above) was an unexpected find.  Mia showed a mama […]

Good Friends :: Good Times!

Our long time friends Kristina and Bob were on a mini baseball stadium tour and asked how far it was to Cincinnati and Indianapolis. I can’t believe it took us almost five years to figure out that Indianapolis is a convenient midpoint between St. Joseph, Michigan and our home. Our schedule was free and Mason […]

MY Saturday Escapades

As soon as we made the Clusterfest arrangements, I reached out to Michelle to see if she could meet me in San Francisco on Saturday while Mason and Bill were otherwise engaged.  We made plans just for brunch and then at the last minute, the plans expanded.  She had an extra ticket for Hamilton and […]

See Ya, San Francisco

Sunday rolled around faster than we would have liked.  We were up early, had breakfast in the hotel and dashed off to St. Patrick Church for 7:30 am Mass.  On our way to St. Patrick, we passed by Hotel Zetta and noticed some pretty neat art in the lobby.  It was so intriguing that we […]
